The BL7 Bestlite wall lamp is a modern design icon that saw the light of day in Birmingham in 1930. Today, the lamp is regarded as a jewel in the English design tradition. Winston Churchill is numbered amongst its many famous users. The Bestlite design was conceived by Robert Dudley Best who was highly influenced by the Bauhaus a school in Germany. Since 2004 Bestlite is produced by the Danish company Gubi.Bestlite stems from the revolutionary changes that took place in design in the "Bauhaus" period between 1919 and 1933. The BL7 can be adjusted to get light into just the right place. With its simple, elegant form, the BL7 blends in with both contemporary and modern interiors.
